LELO can be a ‘hit’ or ‘miss’ with certain sex toy designs but for me, they are mainly a ‘hit’, for many reasons. Their sex toys are sleek, body safe and they deliver with a kick (well, most of their products do) but I have experienced the lows, as well as the highs, when it comes to LELO sex toys. For instance, I wasn’t overwhelmed by the Ora 2, my vagina was screaming out for me to stop and not for good reasons!
After reviewing the LELO INA Wave and sitting on the fence with what I liked, I had to get my mitts on the Mona 2, or even the Mona wave. Mainly as I am not a keen fan of ‘rabbit’ style vibrators but I liked the power of the INA, that I was sure I would prefer the MONA as an all rounder.
The first thing I noticed was the stylish and sleek design of the packaging, very ‘upper class’, if I say so! The Mona 2 keeps in with LELO’s original sex toy designs, meaning that it has a silicone insert-able shaft and an ABS handle. The newer sleek designs tend to have a metallic style handle, which shows with their insignia range.
The LELO Mona 2 is made from 100% silicone, it is latex and phthalate free, non porous and is 100% waterproof. The shaft is silicone but the handle is made from ABS plastic.
The charging port can be found on the end of the plastic handle and unlike newer LELO sex toys, this one has a rubber ‘port’ that you have to remove a plug to insert the charger. Always ensure that this plug is inserted back into the charging port, especially if you are to use the vibrator in the bath, otherwise it’s waterproof efficiency will become void.
To use, is rather simple. To turn it on, select the + button, which also is the button to select to up the strength of the vibrations. The – button will switch your Mona 2 off and will also lower the vibration strength. To go through the vibrations modes, you select the arrow up or down buttons.
There are 6 vibration modes, which pretty much has something for every one.
To use, I would recommend a water-based lubricant. Many people tend to inform you to silicone lubes will ruin your vibrators but these days, it is not true. So yes, you can use a silicone based lubricant but I prefer water-based, as it is not as thick.
To clean, use warm soapy water and ensure you clean the vibrator properly and then leave to dry, or use a sex toy antibacterial cleaner, like the LELO own brand of sex toy cleaner and then leave it to dry before storing away.
You will need to charge your vibrator for 2 hours, to get a full battery, which in turn will give you approx. 90 minutes of play time.
After using my LELO INA Wave and reading other reviews of the LELO MONA Wave, I was a little baffled when bloggers and buyer reviews were suggesting that the number 2 versions of these two vibrators, had stronger vibrations. If the INA Wave is anything to go by, I will have to take a stand and disagree with these reviews!
The MONA 2 is a good vibrator and has some strength to it but it doesn’t have the power kick that the INA WAVE has, so I would assume that the MONA WAVE would be equaling on the INA wave’s power. The Mona 2, just doesn’t have that extra power kick to it, I would even go as far to say that my LELO Isla is more powerful than the Mona 2 but this doesn’t make it a bad vibrator. In-fact, the Mona 2 is a rather good vibrator and sits on that medium of being strong but not too strong and would suit someone who likes a milder vibration, rather than a power house vibrator.
With the shape of the Mona 2 and it’s thicker girth and curve towards the tip of the end, it happily sits against my G-spot with no issue but I would prefer it to be slightly longer, which would make operating the vibe, a lot easier.
The LELO MONA 2 comes in 3 colours, red, cherise and purple. Which ever colour you decide to purchase, it’s outer box comes in the same colour, which I think is a cool feature.
With the vibrator, you will receive 1 x Mona 2, 1 x satin storage bag, 1 x operational manual, 1 x guarantee registration card, 1 x charging plug and cord.
Orgasmic UK, currently have the LELO Mona 2 available for the price of £89.00 GBP, which is a decent price for a product that is high in quality and delivers.
You don’t have to worry about prying eyes, when your delivery arrives, as Orgasmic.co.uk have a discreet postal method.
Would I recommend the LELO Mona 2 vibrator to my readers? Of course I do, although I am a power-house freak, I can’t fault the Mona 2 for it’s speeds and vibrations.
